Exa is off the road

Well i have some bad news. My phat lil exa is off the road. I was driving along the road and noticed a huge puff of white smoke escape from my exhaust. I have muffed up the turbo seals completely. Just lucky i have a turbo coming from Sydney! Should be back on the road in roughly two weeks

Well well well... How in the world have i found a T2 turbo for a small $100? I dunno, but i have! I received it from Sydney today and it's going into the workshop. If its not on and ready tomorrow it will be done later Wednesday arvo (Fingers crossed of course!) Pretty soon i'll be boosting. Please see these pics of the current seized turbo i have on my exa and the newer T2 that's come in from Sydney...

Hey,
yeah - T2's can be found for $100 - but be carefull that its in ok condition. In the mean time, keep an eye out for a t25. If not for preformance, for reliability as teh T2 will only last a few thousand kays before its knackered... Garrett just messed up withthose things....

Hey mark, who is fitting turbo? have you had it looked at by a specialist etc?? if not, i can tell you the best turbo specialists in adelaide, take it to bill at Adelaide turbo services, even jap motorsport take their turbos to him to be ok'd before sellin :bounce: all my work was done through them, he's gotta be the most honest mechanic i know, and while ur there, ask about a T25, they'll have one there for sure.

Hi Dan! I got it off a guy in Sydney. He's promised me its already been looked at and runs absolutely fine. I was all set to have it checked out here but he saved me some time. The car is now at the mechanics having the turbo fitted... Thanks for the info too! I'll keep that in mind for when the T25 or T28 comes to mind. :alien1:
