Turbo Pinging !!!

Hey guys

i just installed a turbo smart stage 1 boost controller
raised it to around 8psi but she pings on exactly 8psi

im running a t25 turbo
stock ecu

any ideas ?

turbo pinging is bad? when IM pinging thats generally a good thing!!!

pinging, im not to sure but maybe youve got to much play in the turbo(like i said not sure) but see a mech or something.

pinging has absolutely nothing to do with the turbo.

pinging means that either the mixtures are too lean, or that the timing is too advanced.
try retarding the timing a little and see how u go.

the only way the turbo could contribute to pinging is if it blows oil into the motor, oil promotes pre ignition, however i honestly doubt this is the case.

yeh im gonna try and retard the ignition timing tomorrow
see how that goes
if not ill get the mixtures played with somehow ?
