speedo check

here's the story, im driving along just cruising at the speed limit when this old old lady in a old school excel drives right past me, at the moment im thinking i fell like im going slow but after that that's just the last straw. So i get my girl to follow me we pull over and she tells me my speedo is 10 k's under the right speed limit.

So can anyone tell me how to get this fixed?
Can i do it myself?
if not where can i go?

My speedo seems 5-10 mph too fast... There are places and auto places to get speedos calibrated, or so I hear, but I'm really not sure.

yeah my speedo is a little out aswell (says im doing approx 70 wen im doin 60) u CAn fix this urself, all u gotta do is take ur dash apart, take the front plastic casing off the speedo and tacho bit, lift the speedo needle OVER the "0km" pin so it drops below it, pop the needle off, then reposition the needle either a few mm's above or below where u took it off, then just lift the needle back so that it is resting on the pin in the 0 position..... for a pic step by step for this have a look at my N13 white dials tech article thingo mo bob..... there ya go!!!! personally im not worried i do traffic speed anywayz *shrugs* meh....

Well I drive at the traffic speed, but in Victoria you get fucked for like 3 kays over the limit, so your not even safe then, since the traffic usually flows about 8 kays over anyway..

Well howz this guyz... mine is randomly changing!

Sometimes it's perfect says 60 when i'm doing 60! other times it say 70 when i'm doing 60!!!

Hell random, i haven't found a pattern yet! But have check by getting other people to follow me and then i sit behind them!!!

mine is 10% over the speed limit if the speedo reads 110 i'm realy doing 100, it gives me the shits but the good side to the story is that if i drive a t the marked speed i wont get any tickets so the story goes....

mine is kinda a combo of devls and 16rmc's..... maybe theyr all just stuffed hehehehe *shrugs* it doesnt worry me all that much
