My new exhaust

ok here's the drill, the other day i got my new exhaust, its two, 6 inch stainless round cannon mufflers with 4.5' tips. kicks the crap outta my old system and i love the semitrical look of the two mufflers, unfortunately the exhaust shop put on the wrong size tips the first time around so i have to take it back on tuesday or wednesday to get the new ones fitted. i have pics of both my new and old systems but they're too big!! if anyone wants to see them i'll email them to u and then hopefully someone will reduce them for me and post them up. i'll keep u posted,

I got my new system put in the other day its a 2 1/4 cat back system with a 4" stainless muffler on the end, i drove it roud for a few days and it droned like all fuck, so i go a resinator put on it since then it sound sweet and best of no more head aches

hehehe sounds like my system aswell! 2.25" high flow cat lukey muffler with a 3X5.5" oval tip hehehehe it looks and sounds and IS the goods!

I loved it the way it was at first but the drone just gave me the shits. next step i think will be extractors and a 2 1/4 pipe to the cat.

he had to order different extractors cause the manifold
n the head on my car r off a 2L... :confused:

n now its runnin heaps better...

I agree with Kameleon on this one. I much prefer single exhausts. I mean it's not like our cars are V8s or something??!! If you wanna go rice i fat arse cannon coming out from one side at an angle looks good but thats about as far as I go.

Still, each to their own! Thats what modifying is all about isn't it? I'd like to see the finished look with the huuuuuge tips!!

How much it set ya back man...? i wanted to do that 4 a long time.. just neva bothered bout gettin it quoted... and what exactly did it consist of.. like the new exhaust system... and how is it run...? like split from tha cat or round near tha rear wheels? and is it stainless steel all the way through? like i only want tha bare minimum... with tha chrome mufflers and tips... its a look factor im after :)

Just got my car back today. 2 1/4" cat back with a 4" cannon tip. Sounds sweet as. The cannon is mounted outward a little and slightly upward, but the full effect I wanted could not be acheived because it would greatly comprimise ground clearence. Only cost me $270 all up.

1 cannon is all an exa needs
secondly, are these turbo mufflers on a non turbo car ?

Dude, ask anybody who isn't trying to sell you something, there's no such thing as a 'turbo' muffler. It's just fancy labeling places make to command a higher price.

Once question, I've noticed that my exhaust has started to become deeper now, and crackle as well as burble on downshifts after a few weeks of having it. Has anybody else noticed this happening?

firstly joel, yeah mate ur muffler needs to be warn in just like anything else on the car, it should sound better now than it did at first, the sound wont change once its fully warn in, u got nothin to worry about its perfectly normal,

Kilepep - my exhaust actually looks frickin kool now that its finished and sure its personal taste, and there is hardly a gain from adding another muffler as u said also, however i decided to get 2 mufflers because i liked the semetrical look and the style of the mufflers, i didnt do it to make the car go fast or look faster for that matter, it was purely because i wanted the look of a cannon and to be a bit different. Every man and his dog has a cannon now days and even a single cannon on an angle, but not many have dual cannons. plus i love the semetrical look. i like being an individual. personally dude i dont really care if i love it or hate it, its my car and i'll do it the way i want. i do however value ur oppinion and accept that not everyone will like it. simple, if u dont like it then dont do it!

some people do their cars up for looks, other for performance, but lets face it, a nissan exa isnt exactly a performance car... unless its turbo ur not gonna be going very quick at all and really engine mods to try and improve the performance of a N/A exa are bout as usless as the pope's dick. i accept this and try and make the best of it by making my car look good. thats all, chow,

HEy I got a ques. I am trying to do duals on my car but i CANT figure out where to run the pipe to the other side. Did you just run it under where the spare tire goes or what??? Cause I want to do it but Im getting lowered and if the pipe hangs down itll scrape.

hey dude whats your msn, i'll send u pics of it now its finished if u want. and yeah its split right near the first muffler! right down the end near the spare tyre... i dont think u'll have any trouble with scraping tho, mine has plenty of clearance, the mufflers them selves are just as low anyway, duals are awesome, i'll send ya pics too if u want them man, just add me to ur msn mine is Locky_race_team@hotmail.com... cya guys,
