can anyone recommend a decent muffler... mine needs replacing and i dont really know much about it all...

Hey,
depends what your after. You obviously want something with a bit of performance, so here's the 2 I'd suggest: 1. 3A Racing stainless straight through cannon muffler approx. $200 this will look good and be a bit louder, 2 Lukey Turbo muffler approx $100, will be much quiter and wont be far off the performance of the 3A racing unit... But have a look around, go to your local Exhaust shop, see what they recomend and go to your nearest rice shops (Auto Barn etc) and see what they have on special...

aparantely marlows has like 20% off at the moment so thats why i just wanted an idea of what to ask for...

is it advisable to get the 3A racing unit now or wait until i've got the engine and turbo i want?

hmm - just found out oyu dont have a turbo'd engine, you could buy the muffler, but I would be carefull fitting it as it may take away too much back pressure and result in power loss with a NA engine...

Hey,

If your planning on turbo'in your engine, you could just buy and hold on to a turbo muffler, i have a turbosmart barrel muffler, sounds good..... so i've been told, i've never heard it outside my car tho, and not to big, so doesn't stick out heaps far, i can get em for $200
