Hey,
yeah I saw them on performance forums, very keen to see how some cars turn out with them. Would definately draw lots of attention when your getting in and out of a car. Are they legal? They're like $1800 (+your modifications ofcoarse!) what do you get for that price? Seems like a lot of money for something that shouldn't take that many components, I would have thought it was all in the labour yet there ad says they can be fitted easily in an afternoon!!! Looking forward to pics dude, very much looking forward to them!

i havent seen the pf ones yet but the oens im adapting are a set of hinges.. quite complicated actually.. with the kit you can do it in afternoon depending on the car..

the difference with the seras 'gullwings' and the lambo scissor doors is that the seras opens from the top of the door and it opens straight upwards like the back to the future car

the scissors doors swing from the top corner of the door like scissors i suppose.

check out the fully universal kits at www.autoloc.com, they have one with Linear Actuators, and one with gas shocks.

yeah iv seen them, id prefer the gullwing type i think, both would like absolutely sik tho.... i dunno but i seem to remember seeing a civic conversion being done for around 5000k all up done and done, not too sure, could be round.....but i dunno.....iv also seen i think a veilside supra with the gulllwings, they looks mad.....not too sure how it would work with the targas tho???

also, there was a s15 with a nice boot job, it sorta split in half, and lifted straight up and out, i was thinking it wouldnt be bad to do a similar job with the targas, have to think about it tho.....

the s15 with the flip flop boot is owned by Flyn, go to www.flyn.com.au $50 for the kit which i recon is awsome value.

na toyota sera isnt gullwing..

it has a hinge like where the top hinge on a normal door is, a hinge up where our targas meet at the front and a gas strut doen the bottom so it sorta opens up diagonally :s

but if u incorporated the targa roof into gullwing doors then u wouldnt need to worry about the window hitting the edge of the targa etc..

NEGATIVE, lol its not the flip flow boot...it was at the sydney auto salon just recently, its on a greenish s15....its similar, it lift sup like the flip flop, but it also cus itself in two and goes sideways.....very nice....
