hey, i need some advice bout wat i will need to do in order to replace the T2 with a T25 since my T2 is shot and thought it'd be time for a small upgrade. i was thinking that the T25 wouldn't bolt straight up to the standard downpipes off the turbo and that i would need some larger plumbing to hook up to the turbo? any advice fellas?

the t15 wil bolt straight onto the exhaust manifold and the dump pipe will also fit although not properly, but it will seal up.
theres a few more fidgety things that need to be done but its prety simple.

Quick list of things you'll need, this is for a CA18 T25 (0.48,0.49)
1. New oil return pipe, its a flange compared to a screw in fitting for the T2.
2. Oil inlet SHOULD fit OK.
3. New compressor outlet flange welded.
4. Water lines if you had a non-watercooled turbo.
5. New dump pipe for optimum performance.
6. Fiddle with the wastegate actuator.
Pretty straightforward, but a bit of a pain running around getting things beforehand.

thnx JeffET for that info, im starting to think i wont bother about the T25. with the T2 and the T15, which is a better turbo? because i would'v thought that the T15 that 85EXABOY mentioned (or was that just a spelling mistake?) wouldn't of been any better then the T2. Hey MR_N13, that'd be great if u could tell me anything you find out! Ah by the way the engine at hand is the legendary E15ET

hehe i think the club had a little glitch a while back and my post was deleted.. ohh well
yes the t15 is a typo,, i wouldnt put anything smaller than a t25 if i had the choice.. if i could do it again i would probably have gone for a t25g or t28.. screw what they say about the ecu hehe

I modified the actuater on a 1999 wrx turbo and had a custom(heeps better) manifold made for it and it works tops...
