still AFM problem!

hey all
ive cleaned the AFM (air flow meter) and started her up idles fine revs nice until 2000rpm then doesnt wanna go past that.
did Error check on ECU and still got code 12 which is the AFM!

I dont know .... can anyone help me out into what could be wrong?

cleaning em aint such a good idea!!!

There is a little sensor in there that can break! But i dont really know much about these so hopefully someone else will be able to explain it to you!

Yeah, there is a little sensor in there and if it is damaged then it will not funtion properly. If that sensor is good then make sure it is properly connected. Mine was slightly off when I picked it up from my mechanic one time and it wouldn't rev past 2000. Check the fuse (if there is one for it...don't remember)

hey guys what does a second hand afm set me back????
ive rung around and the cheapest is around $100

Anyone have one that there willing to get rid of, or know where i can get one cheap... its for a CA18det
