N12 rear spoiler on an N13?

Has anyone attempted fitting an N12 rear spoiler on an N13?

Well it depends on the width of the two cars as to whether it will fit.

Were you thinking of replacing the standard N13 spoiler with it or adding it? Also consider the difference in form (or shape) of the spoilers between the two models.. The N13 spoiler is very thin and wraps over the sides and top of the bootlid, while the N12 as far as i know goes right across.

Either way, it is highly unlikely that it will bolt right on and look anywhere near good, without some form of modification to the length, or profile, or mounts of the spoiler; or all three.

Have you considered the spoiler that comes on some 4-door hatchbacks, (pulsars in aus). The N13 models are what i'm talking about so there is a better chance that they will fit on and achieve a similar look. Don't know for certain though.

I know there would be some modification obviously, but I wanted to know if anyone had attempted it, or looked at the project before... I would remove teh stock spoiler, and then fill what I had to, to make it fit, I dont, however know about the width...

The first thing I would do is get a hold of an N12 spoiler, (borrow one to start with) and hold it up against your car to see how closely it fits. Then you can decide if it is worth the trouble of modifying both the spoiler and your hatch if you wanted to make the change permanent..
