ok, after havin a lot of work done i've maxed out the stock injectors, i'm running the stock pump too, i've sourced a bosch external pump with fuel rate regulator for $355. regulator itself is normally $229.....

The guys said i can use my old inline stock pump as like a pre-pump, that removes the need for a surge tank etc.

is this right, or is he talking bullsh&*.....??

Hey,
yes - that is right. I presume b the fuel regulator that your going to up the pressure to the standard injectors when you reach boost. this is fine, just realise that you'll need another dyno tune to suit this setup.

Just while we're on the topic of injectors, i'd like to ask a quick question. If i was to get my hands on four new injectors for my N12 EXA to replace my standard injectors, would the car go noticably harder and faster? Is getting bigger injectors really worth it?

Hey,
not really no. Unless you have a aftermarket ecu and your standard injetors at reaching their limit....

Thanks guys,

These are all new parts and the guy reckons the prices are gonna rise at beginning of march, so i better get em quick, i'm a bit short of cash but i should be ok, then i need to find out the best injectors to run, oh joy! :help:

aaw,

no more car mods for a while now...

my rego is due, and my computer's hard drive broke and so i need the money to get a new one for TAFE  so i may have to go back to these guys about my pump etc. later, it'll be expensive tho then!

Mark - i'm lookin at new injectors cos mine are maxed out, with a T2 you couldn't run the turbo within its efficiency range and max them out, a guy in the ET top ten is still running stock injectors i think...... i may be wrong tho, he used to any way! :)

Hey,
yeah - you can make some power with the standard injectors - but your limited to around 14psi. It seems that 14psi is nothing on that list anymore! Crazy stuff....

hey,

yeah its nuts now, 6 months ago, if i had my setup i would have been about 4th!! even with stock inject. but i'm hoping just to get in to the top 10 on 11psi, i should be able to do it, if u don't bump me out when you enter!!! :3finger: :p

Hey,
yeah - getting the times dow nthat low is much easier than it looks. I'd love to hold the quickest street trimmed N12 (or just exa) exa in Australia, but I'd be more than happy witha top 10 placing. Its getting very competitive - but Im confident of a low 14- high 13 second pass. Once you see the custom plenum I just got back today - you'll think I'll be looking for the #1 spot!!!!! Its beatifull.....

My full time job starts soon, so i should be on track to get my microtech handset finally!! and start saving for my new fuel setup!

Hey,
its should give a more even/better flowing/higher boost capable flow of air to the cylinders...

custom plenum will make a huge 'latemodel' difference cause inlet theories changed substantually around 1987, (large plenum long thin runners)and the e15's isnt enuff for n/a let alone some psi...

BoOsted

aaah, so when i wanna run 18psi+ it will be a bit a good idea?

hey sam- how much it all cost, bearing in mind i would get you or someone to do it all for me :heehee:
