ok i'd just seen a movie with 3 friends, when i was at a red light turning right (two lanes turning right) when a two tone cream and brown supra (yuck) comes up to me and says
"the old soarer hey?"
and i said "yes. not so sure you can call it old though" my car being a 1992 model, his being 1988!
he asked the usual questions about model and engine to which i replied the twin turbo 1jz-gte
then i asked about his car to which he replied "7m-gte, a 1jz killer".
the light when green and we both drove as hard as one sanely should around a corner and down a 100m (guesstimate) straight. enough for us both to get into the top of second..

well it turned out that his car wasn't really a 1JZ killer, me beating him by a car length to about 110kmph. with 4 people in the car.

What a fucking mong! Why do people insist on saying things like that??
If he'd had a big mouth, and he'd beaten me convincingly, then sure, I would have accepted the loss, but to talk trash and not back it up? Just frustrates me more!

Is the car scene turning into a competition of who's got the biggest?
I miss the days of admiring a fellow revheads car, having a chat, and then a friendly race.

ps; if anyone knows this guy, tell him to deflate his head
pps: the incident happened in inaloo at about 11:15pm on a wednesday so you can ask your friends if it was them.

I know why he lost. All the weight of his fat head was slowing him down.

There still are people that are nice and have a chat to you about what you have done to your car but I think they are becoming a rare bread now.

I just take people like that in my stride, they are dicks and that's all there is to it.

"7m-gte, a 1jz killer"

haha.. gotta show my bro this thread.

howie you SOB!
i'd kill for a manual TT soarer

I gave up looking for one through Prestige and got an auto instead with some fruit (17s, 96 rear lights, suspension, etc)

I still can't find a manual so i'm going GT-R instead!

How much did you pay for the manual?

is it Velour, cloth or leather interior?

thought i told you about this last time.. it's alex's (my bro). he paid mid-20's for his... through prestige too. specs:

1994 Soarer Twin Turbo
Metallic Ice Green (about 1% built had this colour)
Manual (about 5% had this transmission.. =D )
Alpine Double-Din 3-indash stacker + sub etc
Trust Stainless Steel twin exhaust system
Blitz 17" + Yokohama
Sunroof
Velour trim (only GT V8 had the leather)
HKS Boost Gauge
96 rear lights... umm that's all i can think of right now .. oh we added a heavy duty RPM Race Clutch when it got here. Next mod.. dual blow off valves.. then a BABY SEAT for my lil niece.. hahahha.

Bit of a thirsty car... but lotta torque and power... a lot quicker than my old R32 Skyline though.

You going R32 or R33 GTR? either way you wouldn't complain. I haven't been in one before. almost did with the skyline club. man you'll be a lucky barstard driving a GTR.

so does that mean you're selling the soarer?
