ok i'd just seen a movie with 3 friends, when i was at a red light turning right (two lanes turning right) when a two tone cream and brown supra (yuck) comes up to me and says
"the old soarer hey?"
and i said "yes. not so sure you can call it old though" my car being a 1992 model, his being 1988!
he asked the usual questions about model and engine to which i replied the twin turbo 1jz-gte
then i asked about his car to which he replied "7m-gte, a 1jz killer".
the light when green and we both drove as hard as one sanely should around a corner and down a 100m (guesstimate) straight. enough for us both to get into the top of second..
well it turned out that his car wasn't really a 1JZ killer, me beating him by a car length to about 110kmph. with 4 people in the car.
What a fucking mong! Why do people insist on saying things like that??
If he'd had a big mouth, and he'd beaten me convincingly, then sure, I would have accepted the loss, but to talk trash and not back it up? Just frustrates me more!
Is the car scene turning into a competition of who's got the biggest?
I miss the days of admiring a fellow revheads car, having a chat, and then a friendly race.
ps; if anyone knows this guy, tell him to deflate his head
pps: the incident happened in inaloo at about 11:15pm on a wednesday so you can ask your friends if it was them.
