my mate finally got his lisence back a few days ago, and at work 2nite we decided 2 go and have a few runs, hes been talkin his car up for the last few months now about how itd kill the exa no probs, even before we left work he was very convinced it was gonna be a walk over, his car has only an exhaust system 2" piping whihc is kinda similar to mine with 2.25" high flo cat etc, but by the end of the night it was pretty clear that in both 1st and 2nd i had him no worries, but as soon as we hit 3rd he started catching and then by the end of 3rd he had me, does anyone know what the actualy specs are for his TX3?? its the non-turbo model approx 92 i thinks, like our exas are like 1190kgs i think arent they?? and i think his is a fair amount lighter, hes a heavier bloke than me, but that got cancelled out cos im carrrying a sound system and hes not
anywayz overall an enjoyable night and very close racing which is always more fun than a roll over ;)

Hey Ben,my girlfriend used to have a non-turbo TX3 and i beat her every time.I drove it many times myself and didnt think that it was anything special.You should be able to whoop it .Im pretty sure that the 1992 model is a 1.8l.Is it the hatchback or the coupe???

There is a white tx3 here in ballarat 4wd 1.8l turbo and I can keep up with it. And they are ment to be like 117kw or something.

the coupe one... my other friend has exactly the same model tx3 and i beat that one most times, buyt for sum reason this one goes a bit harder

i almost bought a (dont slap me 2 hard ppl) an 88 CRX over the exa.... now im glad i didnt cos theyr more expensicve and the exa kills em no worries!!

Well because the CRX is a favourite with car modifiers, the resale is kept higher than an EXA which has a relatively smaller interest base. People who own CRXs know they can get more than what they are worth because there is a demand out there from all of those full-schick muzzas who wanna put big GT wings, 18" chromies and metallic stickers all over them.

Hey.
MORE REVS!!! If in doubt, give it more revs... You should be able to beat a non-turbo tx3. Either that, or just race in spaces that dont allow you to open all the way up in 3rd!!! lol

more revs meant more wheel spin, my wheels were spinnin like nuthin else in 1st and 2nd!!! then when they grabbed traction it was mad!!!

tx3 turbos suck balls!
i knocked one off in my old non turbo silvia!
an exa with a few mods would be able to catch one(tx3turbo) piss easy
