I have an 85 N12 Turbo, no matter what the local auto electrician has tried we can not stop it running rich and flooding the plugs the following is his message today after 5 months saying "get this outta here!

The car had recon head done in January, I drove it for about 4 weeks, one day just flooded when tried to start it ended up NRMA coming we clamped the fuel line got it going disconnected the vac line and I drove it about 5 k's home after that , zippo nothing nought!!

Then took to local auto electrician he has played with it offf an on for the past 5 months but after his emaiol today we are no further down the track.

"have done the injectors ive checked fuel pressure ok ive checked for vacuum leaks ok ive checked timing ok replaced ecu replaced map sensor replaced air flow meter replaced wiring to injector which were damaged replaced spark plugs what ever we have done i cant get it to stop runnning rich. it floods the spark plugs"The car is currently at North Rocks/parramatta in sydney. I am looking for either an auto electrician or some resident legend in the group that can help me get this baby back on the road.

Ok here we go. I recently had a 1993 Subaru Liberty Heritage which was off chops
story goes sum physco lady slammed her brakes @ the lights and SMACK i ended up under her Honda CRV
So with the left over cash from my insurance i bought a Ke55 2 door corolla
turned out that was rustin up even though it had been bare metal resprayed 2 years ago by my mate,
so i made sum more moolah $$ off that and now i got an ugly red nx coue.
sooo now it was time to start workin on her.
Saved up sum cash and off it was to get painted.
iv Chosen the colour but thats for me to know and you guys to find out when its done(hopefully next week lol)
but before i could get her sprayed i was off to find a new NX-R front bar. These are the biggest killers to find.
So after three weeks of calling, driving,around to wreckers and even gettin my mates in melb to ask around
and surfing the different forums could not find one.
so it turns out cruisin towards kingsford maccas from lapa one sat night i spotted an unregistered one so the next day knocked on the door and lata that arvo i had it at my house stripped like a chicken bone haha.(motor and gerabox up for sale)
so now i have sent the car to the painter and im trimming the interior panles myself with
contact adhesive and an off white leatherette.
So far iv done my roof 100% and the two A pillars
next is tho do the rear end interior pillars(hopefully by the weekend)
the car should be coming back to me this sat
once i clean her up a lil, chop the springs (till i can afford coilovers again),
and put my neww lights and lil things back into her
she probs wont be out till next weekend.

Now - the car sounds to be missing horribly. It will start fine, and drive, but its... Hey guys - i recently came across a problem with my little exa! Now - the car sounds to be missing horribly.
It will start fine, and drive, but its a total slug. Motor takes forever to wind up - wont go above 100km/h. Basically sound like its going to stall.
A mate told me it might of been my fuel filter. Now - i checked that and noticed it was really old looking, so i bought a new one (the old one was so filthy, i could barely blow air through it). Unfortanetly this did not fix the problem.
Another mate told me its probable that its my spark plugs, or sparkplug leads. Me - knowing next to nothing about cars - looked up some information. I tried the technique of taking a lead at a time off the spark plug while the car was running to see if i can notice a difference. All the leads seemed to cause a different effect. 2 out of the 4 cords that were removed one at time kept the car still runing (though i could definitely notice a power drop). When the other 2/4 were removed seperately, each one caused the car to completely clonk out. I dont know if this is relevant or not?

I managed to get the spark plugs out - and i believe they look OKAY, expect for one thats looks abit different from the 3 and is abit oil covered.

I know - the most logical thing would be to take it into a mechanic - but the ones in bundaberg charge like crazy and take their sweet time. And i thought itd be fun learning new things on the car.

By locking and opening car with key the central locking mechanism still locks and opens both doors - but the led display on dash doesn't respond nor do usual light flashes and obviously car won't immoblise and flash led indicator that car secured. Remote leds still operating - batteries new.

From other net search tried to reset remote (insert key 6 times.....turn key x times from off to acc etc. etc.) no luck.....

Any other ideas anyone? - saw a few things on here about the dash fuse box over the accelerator pedal - does that sound likely? - if so, wtf do I do???
